Mission The mission of the International Korean Kickboxing Association is to provide a practical, effective and fun kickboxing system for students of all ages and physical stature and expand the sparring concepts of instructors and students to enable them to reach their full potential in sparring and fitness based on their own individual characteristics.
About the Kickboxing System We are established to give martial arts instructors a sparring or kickboxing program to add to their current curriculum or for the individual student to learn and enhance their own training.
This kickboxing system is intended for all ages and levels of a person’s physical stature. There are many kickboxing systems that are specifically targeted for those individuals in very high physical condition to compete at a hard physical level. This system takes into account the majority of persons who want to learn kickboxing for physical fitness and practical self defense. This system also allows the individual who wants to compete at various levels the basic and advanced tools to be the best fighter they are capable of being based on personal characteristics.
This system is a combination of martial concepts and techniques from various arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, Philipino Kickboxing & Wing Chun. The system does not teach all the techniques of a particular system, but takes the concepts and techniques that are practical and extremely similar in execution to provide a complentery framework where one style lacks efficiency in a particular area; another system enhances that deficiency thereby providing a very complementary well rounded kickboxing system. An example would be such that Tae Kwon Do kicking concepts are some of the best, but lack the close quarter techniques that Muay Thai can provide and Muay Thai lacks the precise kicking, control and non-telegraphic execution that Tang Soo Do can provide and some of these arts lack the hand concepts that Wing Chun provides. These concepts all work together to form a strong, well balanced kickboxing self-defense system intended for you and your students.
We hope you join our family and work with us in our mission.
Sincerely, Blake A. Hasley I.K.K.A. President |

We believe that traditional techniques taught in many martial arts schools look impresive, but are not practical in a real self-defense situation. Classes at our club are for practical self-defense. We do not teach kata, one steps, etc. Many types of techiques are taught, it is then up to the student to self explore and see what type of techniques work best for them with their own natural abilities. |
