College grad stuck cleaning at McDonalds
SAN JOSE, Cali--After graduating from UCLA just over a year ago, Regina Martinez, 23, took some time off. She had no clue how much it would hurt her in the end.

"When I graduated they were handing out manager jobs like they were religious flyers," she said. "Now I'm fucked."

Martinez took a year off to travel and have fun. "I worked my ass off," she said. "I thought I could have a little break and it would be fine. I come back from traveling and BAM, the job market sucks. This is bullshit."

Martinez graduated with a degree in business administration in five years with hopes of owning her own McDonald's one day. She's at the right place, just the wrong job.
She has been hired part time and the assistant cleaning supervisor. "So basically, the supervisor tells me what to clean and I clean it," she said.

"She is the best worker we've had in 23 years," cleaning supervisor Susan Rimburger said. "I think that she might be disappointed in the pay, but you have to work up the latter here."

"This is the worst job I've ever had," she said. "There is no hope for promotion either. I'm stuck making $5.75 an hour. This blows."
Martinez puts on a smile for the camera, but is upset because she is only a assistant cleaning supervisor.
She isn't at the bottom of the barrel though.

"Man she's lucky she has a job," fellow 2001 UCLA grad Mike "Stoner" Grupper said. "I wonder if she could hook me up with that shit."

Grupper has reportedly not had a job since graduation and has spent most days "baked off his ass." "It's a living," Grupper said.

"I hate my life," Martinez said. "If I don't find something I think I might just back to school. I mean, people with Master's degrees get jobs right?"
