Man blows 'greatest April Fools prank ever'
TALLAHASSEE, Fla--April First is the one day of the year American's get to play innocent pranks on each other, and it's all fair game.  Greg Kneedler, 24, decided to take his chances and try to pull of what he thought was "the greatest April Fools prank ever."

He had no clue on how much it would backfire.
Kneedler, a rookie cop at the Leon County Police Department thought it would be funny to call up his girlfriend, Holly Eberhand, 24, and tell her that her parents were killed in a car accident.

"Hey, the guys at the station thought it would be funny," Kneedler said.  "How would I know it would piss her off so much?"

Eberhand was at work when she recieved the call early Monday morning from Karl Rodrequiz, another rookie cop, informing her that both of her parents were killed in a fatal car accident and she was needed to come and identify the bodies at the station.

"I was in an important meeting when I got the message," Eberhand said.  "I was in such a panic.  I had to reschedule the meeting and rush to the police station thinking my parents were dead.  All to find out it was idiot boyfriend playing a 'joke' on me."
What Kneedler thought was a funny trick turned ugly quick.  According to Rodrequiz, Eberhand went "ape shit" when she found it that her parents weren't really dead and told him that she was leaving him.

"Hey, he said that he was sorry, what more does she want," Rodrequiz said.  "Personally I thought it was hillerious.  You should have seen the look on her face when she came in.  She was all white and stuff.  I tell you what, she was pissed though."

"You know, it's just like Greg to do something this dumb," said Eberhand.  "Last year he put a dead cat in the drive way right behind my cat, so when I backed up, I would think that I hit my cat.  What a dick.  We are so done."
