The Dot.Com Graveyard continues to mount with the giant Corporate Bones of the Tech Sector as it evolves into dissipation.

It seems that the devastating Meteor of Reality has finally smashed the Bubble of Virtual Riches into smittereens.  Riches quickly gotten are soon scattered to the winds (of change).

As Matt Krantz of USA TODAY said in the April 3, 2001 edition, "That's not to say the Internet is dead. The Internet and the technology that powers it still promise great cost savings and profit. But companies don't have to be born and bred online to benefit, just as AT&T is only one of thousands of companies that has benefited from the telephone. "There's not really an Internet industry anymore," says Pat Dorsey, head of stock analysis for Morningstar.  The line between the Old and New Economy has blurred as investors realize that the Old Economy is perhaps best suited to harness the innovations the New Economy killed itself creating.

"The Internet is alive and well. But people are making a break on (pure-play) Internet companies as investment vehicles," says John Rutledge, manager of the Evergreen Technology fund. "Companies most involved will be those you've known for decades." (italics mine)(for educational purposes)
