Ace -- Fighter Pilot/Intelligence Operations: His real name is Brad J. Armbruster and he hails from Providence, Rhode Island. Ace would rather fly than do anything else. He joined the GI Joes after serving in pilot combat training school as a senior instructor. He can fly everything and anything and his only other vice is poker! And he doesn't even cheat!
Agent Jinx: Agent Jinx is a GI Joe Covert Infiltration Specialist. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jinx comes from the same Ninja Clan that produced Snake-eyes and Storm Shadow. In her early twenties, she can take out an entire troop of Cobras by using her covert skills to infiltrate and then eliminate by surprise. She is cool under pressure and always in control.
Beachhead -- Amphibious & Airbourne Assault Trooper: Beachhead is from Auburn, Alabama. He is highly motivated and has a high pain threshold. Beachhead is a soldier of moderate temperament and a low tolerance for underachievers. Beachhead likes to be the first one out of the helicopter on a combat assault. He is self-reliant and a can-do person with a healthy self-esteem. Beachhead is the natural adversary of Dr. Mindbender.
Frostbite -- Arctic Special Operations Commander: His real name is Farley S. Seward and he grew up in Galena, Alaska. He worked as a lineman on the pipeline but found the job unchallenging and joined the army. Frostbite is an expert in all forms of transportation.
Gung-Ho -- Marine Recon Commander: Real name -- Ettienne R. LaFitte. As a GI Joe, Gung-Ho's specialty is reconnaissance and Heavy Weapons. Born and raised in the swamps near the Bayou town of Fer-De-Lance, Louisiana, Gung-Ho is a large Cajun who has a love of fist fighting and music. He graduated from the top of his class at boot camp and he thrives on heat and humidity. In operation Swampfire [sic], Gung-Ho blew up Destro's personal fortune, thus making him Destro's sworn enemy.
Hawk/Venemous Maximus: General Hawk, born in Denver, Colorado, is a GI Joe that gets captured by COBRA and becomes the victim of a nasty science experiment headed by Mindbender. After his hideous transformation he has no resemblance to the General he once was. His empathy and compassion is [sic] replaced by reptilian cold-bloodedness, insectile purpose and feral savagery.
Quote (Venomous Maximus): "You are weak Duke. You have no chance against me. Just as your pathetic forces will have no chance against my venomized troops."
Kamakura: Kamakura is a GI Joe Ninja Apprentice. We don't know where he was born, but Kamakura is a pupil of the famous GI Joe Ninja Master. He is also the sole heir of the Arashikage Ninja Secrets. Kamakura is highly skilled with the sword, sai, chain and sickle and the M-16A2 battle rifle. He doesn't like to be the center of attention and stays in the background, especially when it comes to socializing.
Link (Doctor Talbot): Link's full name is Lincoln Talbot and he's the chief veterinarian at a national zoo. He's third-generation vet who grew up on a farm in Clarksburg, Massachusetts. He joined the Navy after high school and became a SEAL, completing two tours of duty before hanging up his wet suit to attend University School where he earned his D.V.M. as well as a Ph.D. in Comparative Biomedical Sciences. He can hold his own in any fight, having won the Navy Kung Fu Championships three years in a row. He views his animal charges as priceless natural treasures.
Overkill -- Cobra Battle Android Trooper (B.A.T.) Leader: Being a leader comes quite naturally to Overkill. Overkkill is half-human, half machine equipped with integral body armor, a self-contained breathing unit and a wireless modem implanted in his brain. Overkill is supreme commander over mindless robots and is protective of his 'troops'. He has a grudge against the Joes who once poured sand into his troops [sic] oil, effectively disabling more than half his unit.
Slash -- Cobra Ninja Mercenary: Like other Ninja fighters, very little is known about Slash's background other than he is believed to be a renegade Ninja who was banished from his own clan for unnamed crimes. Slash has developed his own distinct martial arts style, which imitates the slashing action of a scythe cutting through a field of grain. Slash is patient, cold and calculating. He laughs at the wrong times and takes no pleasure in anything other than perfecting his own skill with weapons.
Slice -- Supreme Cobra Ninja Swordsman: His birthplace is classified, but what we do know about him is, be [sic] may be a renegade Ninja from the same clan as Storm Shadow. It's believed Slice created his own evil sword technique by observing the battle strategies of scorpions and creating his signature "Scorpion Slash' move. He is also a weapons expert who lives for the day when he'll meet SureFire again, and this time he'll teach a lesson he won't forget.
The President: The President of the United States. Just what it says folks, da Prez.
Wetsuit -- Navy S.E.A.L.: Wetsuit's real name is Brian Forrest. He was born in South Carolina. He claims that becoming a Navy SEAL was the most grueling ordeals of his life as well as the greatest. Called in for the most dangerous and dirtiest jobs, Wetsuit and his team perform their missions with incredibly detailed plans.
Wild Weasel -- Cobra Pilot:Wild Weasel learned his trade flying Cobra operations in every hemisphere. His trademark move in battle is to swoop in to try and take out the enemy's vehicles. He also likes flying low and slow. As wild and unpredictable as his code name, Wild Weasel will buzz his own guys just to cause some trouble.
Note: These sides are for characters that ReelFX is trying to find voices for; several other characters were mentioned within the sides themselves, either in background notes or in dialogue or directions.
