My only real hobby to date is photography and I haven't really done anything about it for a very long time. I've never had any formal training - not even the usual photography class at school - I just enjoy picking up a camera and taking pictures of beautiful things. My pictures are mostly of landscapes because of the travelling I've done. I'd like to eventually move into portraits...I have plenty of ideas, just no victims to try them out on!!!
Anyway, these are a few of my favourite landscapes...Don't forget the rule of just passing by if you're not interested!

Taken from the Mile Long Jetty in Busselton (South West of Perth in Western Australia). I have a couple more, but this was my favourite. It was a cloudy day and I think it looks nice!

Sappers Bridge in the Nornalup National Forrest (South West of Perth) is where this next picture was taken. It was a beautiful spot, very quiet and serene. I could have spent all day there.

Peaceful Bay (South West of Perth) really lives up to it's name. Once again, this was taken on a stormy night. I also have one of a boy running across the wet sand, but I like this one better.

I don't know why I like this picture...It was taken in Carnarvon (North of Perth) I like the pinks and blues and how you can JUST see the town in the background.

Dampier (North of Perth) is about 10kms out of Karratha. That's where this picture was taken. In the background is Intercourse Island where I was told (don't know if it's true) a hermit lives.

This photo was taken on 80 Mile Beach (North of Perth) at sunset. 80 Mile Beach and the surrounding areas in the Kimberly are among some the highest tide movers in the world. At sunset, the population of the caravan park I was staying at would all move to the beach with cameras, video equipment and blankets to watch. It WAS spectacular.

I love this photo, taken in Broome (North of Perth) because of the contrast in colours. That particular beach I stumbled upon and was the only beach with so many colours. The blue sky was the same all around Broome though!

One of the major attractions in Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley region (North of Perth) are the gorges. This one is Geike Gorge and it was beautiful. The water was like clear glass, but I wasn't game to swim in it because of the crocodiles!!!

These mudflats were just across from the caravan park I stayed at in Derby (North of Perth). Again, I love the contrasting colours of the sky and the dried mud. During the peak of the heat of the day, the mud flats were so dry you could drive across them, but during the night, the tide seeped in and made them mangrove havens.

This photo was taken further away from the crocodiles, but I have some close ups. It was taken at Windjana Gorge outside of Derby (North of Perth). In all natural surroundings and as long as you don't provoke them, the crocodiles are happy to let visitors come through and take photos.
