People point and laugh,
People turn and stare,
They all taunt and call, "You're THE ELEPHANT MAN."
He just keeps on walking,
Pretending not to care,
Their endless shouting THE ELEPHANT MAN rings in his ear.
They tease his deep dark voice,
They tease what he wears,
He begins to believe he is THE ELEPHANT MAN.
He doesn't have a friend,
But doesn't seem to care,
He knows who he is, THE ELEPHANT MAN.
They all see the outside,
But I can see inside,
The one thing they don't realize is
         AN
     ELEPHANT
       NEVER
         FORGETS.
