why little bears cry
sarah
I once had a friend,
We were so happy, my friend and I.
Whoever thought our friendship would die?
We'd play together all throughout the day.
Whoever knew of the hard words we'd say?
We gave each other a little toy bear.
Whoever knew that in a few years, we wouldn't care?
We'd play every day with those toys.
Whoever knew our times would no longer be joys?
We never talked, nor shared a joke.
As a matter of fact, we never spoke.
Whoever thought our friendship would die?
And on that day those bears did cry.
They cry even to this day,
Uncovering memories I'd rather let lay.
For though we are different, my friend and I,
Neither can let those memories die.
