Cincinnati | Country Hearth Hotel - In room 331 of the hotel, the room becomes freezing cold at times, even when the heat is on its' highest power level. Curtains close and open on their own, and a loud pounding noise is heard against the wall near room 331, and room 431 above it. Personal items are moved about the room without the help of the owner, and hotel personnel have admitted about complaints from guests dealing with hauntings of both rooms. Reports of actual ghost sightings have not been made, however.

Cincinnati | Satan's Hollow - In the Cincinnati suburb of Blue Ash, "Satan's Hollow" is the name of a haunt that is located in an older sewage treatment system. The 'altar room' of this haunt is a location where a group of Satanists have apparently made animal sacrifices; Female screams may be heard at night, and there have been sightings of humanlike and demonic apparations, including the supposed demon "shadow man." [Note: This location is not too far from where I live. If I come up with any more relevant information, I will add it immediately to this page.]

Cincinnati | Union Terminal - Apparently, the Museum Center was once guarded by a security guard that was murdered on the fourth floor after this female security guard was investigating thefts that had been experienced by the center. Apparently, this female security guard still roams the hotel, and, according to reports, her body had been dumped in Northern Kentucky, right across the river, after the murder. Also, it has been said that if you stand near the tracks at night by Union Terminal, you may hear or even see depictions of individuals crying as they welcome back soldiers at the end of the second World War.

Johnson's Island | Confederate Cemetary - During the American Civil War, over ten thousand Confederate prisoners passed through this wartime prison, located on Lake Erie. At least 209 Confederate soldiers are buried here, and there may be more than one hundred more unmarked graves. Most of the soldiers that died here reportedly did so because of harsh treatment by the Union; Soldiers suffocated to death in the summer, and froze to death in the winter. Many more died due to a lack of nutritious food, or because they were exposed to deadly diseases in the filthy, unsanitary conditions. Obviously, the ghosts are believe to be Confederate soldiers.

Lakemore | Edwin Shaw Hospital - A former sanitarium, opened in 1915. It was also a tuberculosis clinic at one time, and is reported to be haunted by some of its' former patients. A cemetary of only marked number headstones is located on the campus. The name of this haunt during its' time as a mental facility was Springfield Lake Sanitarium; Local fisherman have also reported seeing unexplained, floating lights on the grounds. Some of the ghosts are believe to be that of young children whom died of tuberculosis here when this location was, indeed, a hospital.

New Springfield | German Witch Graves - Down Lipply Rd. in New Springfield, Ohio, lies a cluster of trees covered in ivy. Some say that these graves, one marked with a headstone containing the years '1832' and '1849', were the graves of witches that were executed here. The trees are in a hayfield owned by a local farm, and some have reported seeing ghosts spotted in the trees, though no reports have been confirmed.

River Styx | River Styx Bridge - Yes, Ohio really does have a town known as River Styx. In the spring of 1899, Engineer Alexander Logan guided a train near the River Styx Bridge at approximately seventy miles per houjr. The train mysteriously derailed, crushing the engineer to death. The only reported casualty of this incident was Logan himself, and there was no explanation ever given as to why the train derailed. Apparent hauntings involve a "phantom train" falling from the bridge, but it is believed by some that River Styx is not even the town where the derailment occured. The bridge with supposed 'phantom trains' is a rail bridge above a road near or in town.
