1/02-sadly LOTR did not win anything at the Golden Globes :(
1/02-The Fellowship of the Ring is the first installment in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It opened in theaters December 19th, 2001. It is already nominated for four
Golden Globe Awards (Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Directior-Motion Picture:Peter Jackson, Best Original Score-Motion Picture:Howard Shore, and Best Original Song-Motion Picture:"May It Be" Sung by Enya.) and is expected to be nominated for several Acadamy Awards as well.

My thoughts: I was very impressed with the movie! I thought Peter Jackson did an excellent job bringing the characters to life as well as capturing the heart and meaning of the books on the screen. There are so many little details that just make it come alive, and you can tell how much work everyone involved put into it to make it so. The end result is a breathtaking, heart warming, spectacular, epic film. I also thought it was perfectly cast, and the acting was supurb. And the special effects didn't over power the storyline or the characters. (Ok I admit it, I bawled my head off...) Although I was kind of dissapointed that Tom Bombadil had to be omitted, as well as Glorfindel, I understand the director's reasons for doing so.

More updates coming soon!!!!!!
