Profile: Graham Dene: Born 7th April 1949 - Graham Dene stands five foot four inches tall - on tip toe.  An avid record collector, it's reported that during his days at Capital Radio in London, he also collected young ladies that were under five foot two!

As with many well known radio presenters, Graham learnt the ropes in hospital radio, but his radio career really took off in yet another proving ground for popular radio presenters - the United Biscuits Network, which was based in the McVities factory in Harlesden.  There he worked alongside the likes of Nicky Horne, the late great Roger Scott and Adrian Love.  A stint at Liverpool's Radio City was followed by a 17-year stay at Capital Radio (Capital Radio AM & FM, then Capital Gold) including a decade of early mornings on the Breakfast Show.  April 1993 saw a move to Virgin 1215 as one of the station's launch team in the 10:00am - 1:00pm slot.  He then joined the new Magic 105.4 FM in London, firstly on the afternoon show, then back to the Breakfast Show.

When he's not in the radio studio, he's often talking about being in one, as a very popular after dinner and special event speaker as well as event host.  His most recent challenge has been the take-up of fatherhood - he has two children, son Jamie and daughter Jemma.  Graham is responsible for one of the most interesting, perhaps amusing on-air quotes, where he states the obvious: "It's four minutes to eight - that's the time."

Whereabouts: Graham can be currently found on London's Magic 105.4 Breakfast Show 6:00am-9:00am - his show has regularly been London's fourth biggest commercial radio breakfast show, and added 27,000 listeners in the three months up to August 2004.  This equates to 725,000 people putting the station on - a rise of 15% year on year.
