Profile: Vicky Marsden: Born in 1976, Vicky began her broadcasting career over in the United States - this work abroad was part of a year away getting valuable work experience on a PR and management degree course - working on Radio 104, an alternative rock station in Hartford, Connecticut.  UK work continued with stints at Chiltern FM, Leicester Sound and then abroad again for Ayia Napa's English language station Napa FM (Cyprus).

In 2000, she joined BBC Radio 1 - and when she was offered the job, this was what she describes as '...beyond my wildest dreams'.  However, prior to this, she'd gone through some agonising auditioning and couldn't eat or sleep for two days before hand - she says her actual audition was 'dreadful'.

Her ambition whilst at the station is to convince the programme controllers to let her have more control over what she plays.  Outside of the station, she would like to own a Porsche 911 Turbo which does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.  Vicky lives in a Victorian terraced house in West London.

Whereabouts: She presents Radio 1's overnight show, Tuesday to Thursday inclusive from 2:00am - 4:00am.
