The Journey of Mintfresh the Dane, Cardinal of Rome: Mintfresh Invents the Comode |
||||||
One fateful morn, Mintfresh, Cardinal of Rome, Son of Thnhurn, Quoter of Fables, Slayer of Trollops, Messenger of the Gods, Bather of the Peasants, Marshal of the Treefolk, Doctor of the Well, Keeper of the Blueprints, Grand Goat, Brother to Many, Uncle to All, awoke and needed to use the potty. He, being the finely honed, shoveler of a man that he was, did take up the pick-axe and fine tooth comb and did dig under the ground a vast system of pipes and water mains, creating the first ever fully functioning plumbing system in all the world. Mintfresh then did take a step back from the vast plumbingness he created and thought, "Ahh, I need a vessel to hold my poop." Then, he did take from the bodies of his slain French enemies their bones, and using a knife and a fine tooth comb he carved a large ivory vessel to hold his poop. Then using his superhuman powers, Mintfresh connected the Vessel to the system of pipes he created and said, "This is good. I shall name it Comode, for from the bone of the French I create it!" Then, many came to see the comode and to relieve themselves in it. And for some time, their was peace in Wessex and Sussex and Essex, for the people shared a common bond of love for their Lord Mintfresh's comode. This lasted until one night a Priest, Friar Mullberry, came to the site of Comode and stole away with it back to his monastary, where he buried it. Some say he buried it for it was the Devil child, the spawn of the French, but we all know that he had heard about it, and always dreamt about soiling it. Ha ha! The next morn, Mintfresh awoke to find the Comode missing. And verily he blamed the French. And the people did rise up their fists in the general direction of France and shook fiercly! And from that day forth, the French paid dearly for their mistake, and the children of Thnhurn did swear to ravage that country from that day forth. |
