THE SHINS

"On your legs"
Shoots Too Narrow

Let's review some "hot" acts currently on "Sub Pop" that have released two "albums:" The Shins and heavy metal trio Iron and Wine. Their first albums were so solid! So good! Their second albums weren't so solid but they each contained a song better than any of their other songs so far.

Are you getting my analogy? Do you see how it applies not only to that parable, but to real life? Yes. It's Saint Simon and it's so good you might die. Are they saving the earth? No. Currently, Ween is saving the earth. Are they at least cleaning up litter along highways? Yes they are.
Um, Invertebrate World

Um, this concept album celebrates creatures like worms, plankton, and spineless killer whales. The kids think it's the tits. It's saving rock and roll. Garden State acts like New Slang can change the way you look at life forever, not that I've seen that movie, but you know what? It was in a Nike commecial. Is Garden State saying that a Nike commercial several years ago can change my world? No Nike product or advertisement will ever change my view that Ronald Reagan is the greatest, most exquisite creature ever to be. Congratulations, Ronnie, and sorry you died! Also, Girl Inform Me is better than invertebrates, Reagan, New Slang, and movies I haven't watched combined.
