The Journey of Wolfwulf the Dane, Saucepan of Wessex:
     Wolfwulf Fights a Frenchman
In the days of grand mead halls and mighty warriors, their rose up the mightiest of warriors in all of Angleland. He was named Wolfwulf, Saucepan of Wessex. He came forth from the loins of Thnhurn, King of Wessex.  This is noted as a good thing.
Wolfwulf had four brothers, Alice, Mintfresh, Wulfwolf, and Wolfgar. They each grew in the ways of hating the French and drinking mead. When they were full grown, Mintfresh styled a Comode out of the bones of Frenchmen. This Comode was regarded as the "Bee's Knees" of all Wessex, but one day, the evil French came upon it in the darkest hour of night and stole away with it into the mist of France.
All of Wessex, Essex, and Sussex cried out in despair and great frustration with France for their despicable deed, and all the sons of Thnhurn swore to tear France from the map. And so they took out their maps and tore France out. Then, Alice, Wolfgar, Wulfwolf, and Wolfwulf all vowed to travel to France and repay them a hundred fold for the damage caused to all of Angleland.
And so it was that Wolfwulf did build him a might ship from the great wood of Great Wood, and filled it with a crew of many able bodied warriors from his father's Grand Mead Hall. Then they set off for France, and within a fortnight, had reached the shores of that evil land.
At once, Wolfwulf disembarked from the ship to find a French lord whom he could slay. With his able bodied crew by his side, he journeyed far and wide over the smelly lands of France, but could find no lords to be found. Discouraged and weary, they all went to find a tavern. But though they traveled far and wide, they could find no taverns to be found. All they could find were several small Cafes, where they sold food fit for dogs. Yet, Wolfwulf and his able bodied crew were famished, and soon found a small cafe, and sat.
They all ordered from the menu as best they could, and thought that the food was fit for dogs, but it did bring some nourishment to their bones. Then, suddenly, a slender Frenchman handed Wolfwulf the check. Outraged at the outrageous amount the dastardly dastard had charged them, Wolfwulf stood up, towering above his foe and knocked him to next Tuesday and back again. He then turned and stormed off to go to the ship, his men left blinking surprisedly after him.
And so, Wolfwulf did defeat a condecending Frenchman in a fierce battle of wits, and was proved the better man. So, his Father and Brothers and all of the Mead Hall Gang did celebrate this great victory for many days in the Grand Mead Halls of Wessex.
Three Tuesdays later the Frenchman gave up.
