Beneath the Same Skies
back
Torn down by differences,
destructed by hate,
spirits of love and potential
disrupted by fate.

Accomplishments, goals, pride and joy,
all obliterated with a change of direction.
All that was, all that could have been,
now lies as rubble, deserted, without protection.

We sit helpless, left to wonder:
Which of God's creations could carry out such gore?
Which of God's creations has ignored the beauty of life?
If our destiny lies in their hands, life's value is no more.

We must stretch our peaceful arms to mankind,
Teach those too naive to realize
we are one, despite the differences,
we all live beneath the same skies.
