Kikyou-Inuyasha-Kagome: The Love Triangle

Kikyou and Inuyasha

Kikyou and Inuysha fell in love 50 years ago when Inuyasha was after the Shikon in a search to become full-demon. He was going to turn human for Kikyou, but they were caught in a trap with Naraku and made to hate each other, and Kikyou put Inuyasha into an enchanted sleep with one of her enchanted arrows, and Kikyou died shortly after. They met up again 50 years later when Kikyou was brought back to life the evil witch Urasue. Kikyou and Inuyasha have sort of developed a little "relationship" since then, and Kikyou no longer hates Inuyasha, but she does want to kill him. She wants to drag him to hell with her. (Which Inuyasha will do if that's their fate.)

Inuyasha-Kagome

Kagome and Inuyasha met when Kagome was running from a giant centipede named Mistress Centipede. She awakened Inuyasha out his "sleep" and after Kagome broke the Shikon jewel, she and Inuyasha went on a search for them. They eventually developed a friendship, and then eventually fell in love. Now, they are "together" even though Inuyasha's still "with" Kikyou.

Kikyou-Inuyasha-Kagome

Now, it's very clear that Kagome doesn't want Kikyou and Inuyasha together, but she can't compete with her, so, she choose not to. It's also clear that Kikyou doesn't like Kagome. (She's tried to kill her before.) The tension when the 3 are in the same area is very high. It's clear that one day Inuyasha will have to make a choice: Kikyou or Kagome. He hasn't made that choice yet, because he hasn't needed to. But he will one of the days, and I am not looking forward to that at all.

What I think will happen DESPITE what I want:

What I think will happen is that I think Inuyasha will choose Kikyou, just becasue I don't think he has thought of anything else. He needs to think about who he really wants a lot more before he makes the decision.

What I want to happen:

What I want to happen is I want Inuyasha to choose Kagome. I want Kikyou to die, and for Inuyasha to be with Kagome. I don't think Inuyasha has thought about it - and one of my friends said this to me, and I agree with her - is that fate is giving Inuyasha a second chance by giving him Kagome. I don't think Inuyasha has even realized that, or even thought about what will happen to Kagome and how she feels.
