The story starts out with Kikyou, a powerful priestess, pinning Inuysha, a half-demon, to the tree, and the death of Kikyou. 50 years pass, and Inuyasha is awakend by Kagome (a human of course), the reincarnation of Kikyou. After Kagome shatters the jewel, Inuyasha and Kagome begin their journey. Then comes the fight Yura of the Demon-Hair.Kagome defeats her by breaking a skull that contained a comb that was what Yura was. Then comes their first meeting with Sesshomaru, and Inuyasha gaining the Tetsusaiga. Inuyasha defeats him by cutting off his arm. Then comes fight over the Princess with Nobunaga with the toad demon, which both Inuyasha and Kagome help defeat. Then the fight with the Noh Mask comes, which Inuyasha defeats.Then they meet Shippou, a full-demon, who wants revenge on the Lightning-Beast Brothers/Thunder Brothers for the murder of his father, which Inuyasha does after he kills both brothers, Hiten and Manten. Then comes the whole thing with the little dead girl out for revenge over her mother, which Kagome helps solve. Then comes the fight with the Spider-heads and the first appearance of Inuyasha as a human. Kikyou then returns to life. Then Miroku appears and we learn all about him.Then comes the fight with a painter who can bring paintings to life, which Miroku and Inuyasha both help defeat. (Moslty Inuyasha.) Then comes another fight with Sesshomaru. (Inuyasha, of course.) Then comes Inuyasha pushing Kagome back into her time. Then comes the turth about Naraku, and a fight another demon (Inuyasha) and Kagome's return. Then comes Inuyasha and Kagome's meeting with Kikyou. Then comes the fight with the carnivorous hermit. (Inuyasha.) Then there's the appearance of Sango, and we learn about her, and how the Shikon Jewel came into being. Then a fight with a fake water god. (Inuyaha.) Then comes a very interesting segment with Mushin, the monk that raised Miroku. Then comes a segment with Sango, and Naraku bringing her brother back to life. Then comes Inuyasha and Kagome's meeting with Jinenji, a half-demon. Then comes a fight with Naraku. Then comes the first meeting with Toutousai, and truth about Sesshomaru's sword, Tenseiga, and a fight with Sesshomaru. Then the first meeting Kouga, and the fight with the Birds of Paradise/Gokuraku-chou. Then comes this first appearance of Kagura and Kanna, two of Narkau's incarnations. Then comes Inuyasha beating a demon called Goshinki, and Toutousai's old pupil making another sword for Sesshomaru. And then terrible fight with a demon. (Kouga makes an apperance.) Then comes a bit between Inuyasha, Kikyou, and Kagome. (Inuyasha and Kagome get together.) Then comes the secret of Inuyasha's transformation and an appearnce by Sesshomaru. Then comes the fight with Ryuukossei, a demon, and the discovery of the Bakuryuuha. Then comes the fight with the Dark Priestess. Then comes another fight with Inuyasha as a human, and another fight with Kagura and Kanna, and another appearance with Kouga. Then comes a time when Naraku expells Onigumo out temporarily and then another meeting with another half-demon, Shiori, and a fight with her full-demon grandfather. Then Rin is kidnapped (and Sesshomaru gets her back of course) and then another fight with Naraku. Then comes a segment with some monkeys and their monkey-god. And then comes a huge segment with the Shichinin-tai, human assassins that died 10 years ago. Appearing in this order: Kyoukotsu (killed by Kouga), Jakotsu (technically killed by Renkotsu, but Inuyasha basically killed him), Mukotsu (killed by Sesshomaru), Ginkotsu (killed by Kouga), Renkotsu (killed by Bankostu), Suikotsu (killed by Renkotsu), and the leader, Bankostu (killed by Inuyasha). (There's of course, mini-story lines in that huge one, too, but if you want to find out those then read it yourself.) Then comes a segment where Kikyou seemed to be killed by Naraku. Then comes a fight in a community of Monster Women. Then Miroku "proposes" to Sango. Then comes a fight near the boundry between this world and the next. Then comes a fight with Princess Abi and her demon-birds. Then comes Kagome healing Kikyou. Then another fight with Princess Abi, and then the scent of her bird's nest suddenly appearing. Then comes a whole thing in the boundry between this world and the next for the one of the shards of the Shikon Jewel. (Naraku has all of them except for the ones Kagome has, the ones Kouga has, and I think the one that was in the boundry between this world and the next, Kagome has now.) Then a whole thing with a bunch of rats, and then the box that the rats came in being destroyed. Kikyou plants a trap for Naraku to see if she can find out where he is. (That's in with the rats.) Later, we meet a human named Goryoumaru who is a very suspicious man with a demon arm. The gang (and Kagura included) thinks he has links with Naraku and the baby. Goryoumaru almost kills Kagura, but she doesn't die, and, strangely, is saved by Sesshoumaru. We then find out something very interesting about her, but I'll leave that for you to find out. We find out something about Hakudoushi, and Miroku sucks up Hakudoushi. Naraku gives Kagura her heart back, and then stabs her with miasma.(Take a big guess at what happened to her.) Sesshoumaru is there when *it* happens, and the Yasha gang shows up right afterwards. Kikyou calls up Midoriko's soul to help her heal so she can kill Narku. We then go to Kouga who gets this weapon thing from the wolve tribes graveyard.
