We take pride in our hstory :

w Formed in 1971. It was time for a Pro-Liberty political party.

w 1980. The Party came to Missouri.
Our Libertarian candidate for President was on the ballet in all 50 states. It was the first time all Missourians could vote Libertarian.

w 1992. Here to stay. The state of Missouri officially recognizes our Libertarian Party as an "established political party."We're the only party besides the Republicans and Democrats that currently enjoy such status.

w 2000. Stronger than ever. Of seven parties on the ballot only our Libertarian Party, the Republicans and Democrats got enough votes to automatically get on the ballet in 2002, and now 2004 as well. We placed a Libertarian billboard on I-70 and we began a marketing program aimed at young people in Missouri. We have identified two Libertarian affiliated newspapers in the state, and we have now hired a full-time Executive Director.

(It's a  New Vison Brochure) (Without History that was included in first brochure text. One of the New Vision of Self Government brochures includes Party History.)

(pg 1)
It's a New Vision
For
America!
Formed From This Nations Earliest Hopes of the Desire to Leave to Future Generations the Freedom of
Self-Government.
Read On to Find Out How the Promise of Self-Government is Being Fulfilled and What Part You Can Play in It's Future!

(pg 2)
There is only one political party, the Libertarian Party, that believes if you were left to govern yourself you would be much better off because you would keep more of what you earned. You would be able to buy and sell and use your property and possessions as you see fit, as long as you don't infringe on the rights of others to do the same.

  We are the Libertarian Party!

Other political parties believe if they don't regulate, tax, audit and coerce you; if they don't threaten you with surveillance, fines and jail time then you will cheat, steal, and harm your neighbors. They believe Self-Government doesn't work because Americans are too shiftless, lazy, conniving and devious to be trusted to govern themselves. We trust you!

Libertarians believe you should be free to use your money to give to the charity of your choice, not forced to use your money to pay for government "charitable" pro-

grams that you disagree with.

Libertarians believe Americans are moral enough to live their lives in a decent manner without being forced to conform to government mandates on behavior. In other words, we believe you should be free to live your life in any manner you see fit as long as as you don't harm anyone else or infringe on their right to live their lives in any manner they see fit.

We are the Libertarian Party and we are the only political party that believes that all Americans have the right to Self-Government, not government based on some bureaucrats whims or bizarre ideas of morality.

Libertarians believe that what people earn belongs to them. Libertarians love liberty enough to allow each individual their own " pursuit of happiness". Libertarians are proud to be part of a political body that is challenging the system to find better ways to pay for the government than just taking money from people. This is all part of our vision of Self-Government.
