Candy Apples
This is the recipe for Caramel Apples

Take 8 - 10 medium sized apples. Wash, dry thoroughly and chill
insert a wooden skewer into the stem of each apple
Mix ingredients together in a deep 2 quart saucepan. Take:

2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white corn syrup
2/3 cup butter
1 cup cream
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
Cook to 246*
stir constantly toward the end of cooking to prevent scorching. Remove from heat, cool until mixture becomes thick. Dip each apple into the caramel mixture evenly. When they are completely covered place each apple on wax paper
