Losing In Snow I stand alone but within myself, under the sky this cold gray sky, the blowing, building drifts around my feet, the faults I jump in desperately, to deep too near my voice fading, what she takes from me in value, she took from the depths of my soul; What I lost to her in kindness, she unwrapped and then rerolled, the paper housing thta partially covered, every facet of my heart, and without her love to covet, the night becomes the lark singing too; To my loneliness I house and shrug-it all away I know she wanted too, instead of fighting I just let go, and now instead of what I always Wanted, I have nothing left to show, for all the emotion I spent a lifetime building; Losing in the snow. *********************** classic poem, The PooRe PoeT 12-6-2000 copyright 2005 dedicated to Christine Wages
