So anyway.. Woke up in the US Customs facility outside of Buffalo (so THAT'S where Buffalo is...) where we had NO problems getting back in to the States... IT's GOOD to be HOME!!! Woke up in Cleveland, at the warehouse offices on Thunder And Lightning Sound and Light... Marko told me that we were getting the lights fixed, and that he was taking the bus to some little dive to eat brunch, and that Frank, the Thunder and Lighting guy and I could join then after we fixed the I-Beams... So we ended up at a little place on the Lake, eating French toast made with French bread (makes sense, eh... LOL) ... Siggi TOTALLY grossed me out that morning.... dude dumped ketchup and mustard on his French Toast.....EWWWWW!!! So anyway, we went back to pick up the I-Beams, and drove on to Detroit, driving past the Rock-n-roll  Hall of Fame... As I pointed it out to the guys (Frank gave me a mini-tour of the town as we went to the little cafe), I told them to dream on...(laughs) Woke up at t truck stop outside Detroit to the rumblings on Dickie Fut's CB about how Bob Seger's bus was in the truck stop parking lot... I was thinking, 'cool... Bob Seger's bus it here, too.... Some dude started to sing Seger songs, and I got on the Cb and told him to keep his day job.... Trucker boys didn't appreciate that one....(laughs) When I saw Dickie Fut walk out and some dude on the CB said, "There goes Bob's driver", it dawned on me...they thought WE were Bob Seger's band....(laughs) Dickie and I let them think that as we laughed our asses off at them as we left and got to.....

Detroit, Michigan
Ya gotta lose your mind in Detroit, Rock City.....actually, ya gotta lose your mind to GO there.....it's a WAR ZONE... (Sorry, Rich.....Detroit´s NOT a very good place to visit....much less LIVE) Vuca, CeeCee, and I wandered around downtown late Sunday night after arriving..... Eesh..... There was a cop every 20 feet, it seemed..... probably because it looked like every homeboy in the state of Michigan was wandering around there..... I felt like I needed to be armed.... We hit some restaurant.....they both flipped over the waiter....... poor guy....had a girl and a gay guy in lust with him....(laughs) Anyway........ Detroit turned out to be a handy town.... walked to the venue... Dropped a package off with a UPS driver who happened to be half way to the bar.... dropped off my postcards with an unarmed Postal employee who happened to be halfway between the UPS guy and the venue.... and STILL beat the bus there... (laughs) Other than I-94 outta town the girl behind the bar was the best looking thing there.... and tha ho wouldn´t do the picture thing.... The bar would have been nice if it had AIR CONDITIONING...... So, after getting in some SERIOUS whiffle ball practice in an upstairs room at St Andrew's (yes, we played some serious whiffle ball- the plan was to take on Lamb in a game......we would have KILLED them.....), the house lighting dude and I went to some local place he knew of for dinner..... While we were waiting, some old black dude just plain fell out of his chair and splatted all over the ground.... Cops dragged his drunken ass off to jail...It was hilarious... .After waiting for our food for about another 20 minutes, I finally asked the time.....SHIT... it was 8:30, time for the opening band, Lamb, to go on..... Gaah.....I HATE IT when my meal is so RUDELY interrupted by Lamb´s set.....I ate as I ran their lights..... pissed me off...... I wanna thank my Gemstone guy's former brother in law Rich, and his fiancée Sarah for coming out to see me.....That was cool. They didn't bother to stick around for Gusgus...... something about hearing GG on the radio and running screaming, wondering how I put up with tha tunes.... I heard a tape of the interview later, and see why they ran.... Gusgus did their absolute WORST song in the studio.... Hafdis cracked her vioce BIG TIME (laughs) Other than the lack of AC, the show was fine.... fell asleep on the bus after showering at the hotel, and woke up tothe rumblings of an "El".....must have meant I was in Chicago.....

Technically speaking

OK...now, we had all 8 beams working, and the show FINALLY was almost all together... The lighting for the song   Barry Reprise was plotted out as I sat on the steps of St Andrew's talking to the fans, and executed in its final form for the first time here.... I actually got to add another color.... white....just for that song... It was a 12 step chase, switching between green and white with the dot gobo, with the beams sweeping back and forth, with me varying the intensity to go with the music, ending with a solid green wall of blinding light to end the show....it fades away, and all you see is 'THE END' on the screen.... Too cool. That was my way of making fun of the Pink Floyd song 'Run Like Hell', the best lit song of their show.... Well, everyone thinks it's the best lit song... The whole thing's TWO STEPS repeating over and over again... It looks complicated, but it's not. Oops...mebbe me should keep me friggin mouth shut...(laughs)
