Toronto, Ontario, Canaduh
Toronto.....what can I say... I
missed it. I woke up as we pulled up to the Ohpera Hohse (not misspellings...it´s how
they pronounce it). Yes, they actually say up there, " hoh´s it gohing, eh?"
All I saw of Toronto was the 7-11 at one block, the Ohpera Hohse in the middle, the
clothes store across the street where I scored 2 black leather jackets for $40US, and the
Laundromat at the other block...... the shohw was packed.....the AC was broken...the
lighting booth was upstairs... I must have been up and down and up and down 40 times that
day... go upstairs.. oh shit... I forgot something... go downstairs... get the thing I
forgot.... go upstairs... remember that I forgot something else...... it sucked... Just
gimme my money and i´ll STFU... The high point of the day was when some drunken idiot
asked Marko for a free t shirt.... Marko told him to bugger off, and this dud went
schizo... Lorraine, Marko's girlfriend, and I were sitting there just waiting for
this dude to take a swing at Marko so we could all jump in and beat him to a pulp....
Eventually, the drunk backed off, and left.... The other high point was Tina, CeeCee's lil
sister..... She was a babe.... another Canaduhian/Icelandic mix.... an exact duplicate of
a girl who lives near here named Katy... We ran to the 7-11 to get some grub (fuckin
Ohpera Hohse forgot to FEED US... STRIKE TIME...) There was a crowd hangin out, treating
us like stars... It rocked.... Some girl hanging out looked exactly like the girl who
plays Kira on Star Trek DS9, without the Bajoran nose bridge makeup... She wanted to see
the inside of the bus..... hmmm.....
Next stop...Detroit, Rock City
Technically Speaking
The Ohpera Hohse had a killer lighting rig.... 14 I-Beams... 60 pars... Too bad the I-Beams were all the 400 series... They had a 400 watt lamp, not the 700 watt the regular I-Beams have... they were too dim.... I do prefer the 400 series gobo wheel, though... I had 12 of them hooked up.... 4 in my system, 8 on the hohse High End controller, and the conventional light's board... it was great, me switching between 3 controllers for the show... Loads of fun. Ernie, the hohse lighting guy, said something about getting all new stuff and a Jands bohrd while we were outside messin with al the Canaduhians coming in the place.... They actually say "Hoh's it goin, eh?", just like Bob and Doug McKenzie.......(laughs)
