CITY CENTRE, NOTTINGHAM, WOLLATON HALL AND PARK

Nottingham City Centre. If you look very closely you will see the Council House in the middle of the picture.

Wollaton Hall and Park, Nottingham. Wollaton Hall was built by Sir Francis Willoughby between 1580 and 1588 largely from the proceeds of his coal pits. The Hall now houses a fine museum. Herds of red and fallow deer roam around the park. There are formal gardens with statues and a lily pond, a rose garden, Camellia House, lake and nature trail. The 18th century stable block houses the city's Industrial Museum.
