Hume
Pioneers of The Republic of Bastok, Humes live all over the world and have the largest population among all other races. They have completely balanced attributes, and do not specialize in any one skill.
Best classes: Red Mage, Dark Knight, Paladin

Elvaan
The Elvaan are the only race hailing from The Kingdom of San d'Oria. Despite being elf-like, they are quite tall. They have increased strength, defense, magic defense, and hp. They lack a bit in evasion, magic power, and mp.
Best classes: Warrior, Monk

Tarutaru
Hailing from The Federation of Windurst, the Tarutaru race doesn't suffer from the effects of aging. They are midgets with great magical powers. They have the best emotes. They have increased mp, magic power, and evasion. They lack a bit in hp, and strength.
Best classes: Black Mage, White Mage, Bard

The Galkan race centers around The Republic of Bastok. Their body size enables them to have high stamina and strength. They have no sex, as they reincarnate for procreation. They have increased hp, defense, and strength. They lack a bit in mp and evasion.

Mithra
Mithras generally reside in the Federation of Windurst. Mithra are feline-like, with tall ears and a tail. The majority of the Mithras are females; the number of male Mithras is extremely small. Only female Mithras wander around the outside world. They have increased accuracy and evasion.
Best classes: Thief, Ranger, Beastmaster
