Astral/Remote Viewer, Showman. Didier may have been the first to use the word "Remote Viewing" around the mid 1800's, after he was in the audience of a theater in France watching a demonstration of 'Mesmerism' or early Hypnosis (see Franz Mesmer). As a chosen subject, while he was put under... to his surprise, he began to Astral/OOBE, and visually give extraordinary details of an event in a location elsewhere which later turned out to be correct. After his experience, he became very intrigued, and focused on this new found technique. Coining the name "Remote Viewing", he demonstrated early AV/RV on the stage. Challenged by a skeptic named "Sequier" he was asked if he could describe exactly what was happening at his home and what was on his desk. Didier described in detail including a hand bell that was on his desk. "Sequier" said he was wrong and he did not have a hand bell on his desk. Later that night... he was surprised to find a hand bell on his desk in which his wife bought earlier in the day. Though the name "Remote Viewing" was claimed to have been coined by Pioneer Remote Viewer, Ingo Douglas Swann at The American Society for Psychical Research (ASPR) in the 1970's. The discovery of Didier rewrites the possible origin of the name "Remote Viewing" and verifies the claims made by ASPR Pioneer Remote Viewers, Keith Harary and A. Edward Moch that Remote Viewing, and Swann's development of Controlled Remote Viewing (CRV) had older origins. It is also noted by Moch, that this form of AV/RV was already in operation and was used by Military Astral/Remote Viewer, Sgt. Edgar Perry (aka: Edgar Allan Poe), supporting Didier's RV claims. In one experiment, Didier utilized his AV/RV ability and services to local Law enforcement in a unsolved case. Like a 'Psychic Detective' his skills helped to assist in the finding of clues, eventually solving the case. |
