I stand here on the battlefield
The soldiers that shall love no more
I say a prayer here today
I wish I could be buried here
But honor you should not give me
And think of those who did not yeild
I think of those who did not cry
That simply sent themselves to die
The ones who were brave to the core
The ones who did what I could not
The ones who did their final lot
For those who only had their lives to pay
For those who could not hope to win
Oh Lord, please save them from their sin
Among those that did not fear
They did not cower, they stayed brave
Even as they marched on to the grave
When I'd take it undeservingly
The true heroes die without fear
Which is why I am not buried here
