| Madonna grew up with her seven siblings after her mother died and her father remarried with a dream of fame. Ever since a little girl Madonna always enjoyed being in the spotlight. She wanted to become a Pro Dancer so she went to Michagan University with a scholarship for dance. Madonna didn't graduate from college because she was to anxious to pursue her dream of stardom. She went to the big apple with under $40 and a big dream. She wasn't doing well at first with her small one-bedroom apartment and fastfood jobs, she then went to modeling for more money. In the late 70's Madonna found a small role in the movie " A Certain Sacrifice". She then joined a Band called " The Breakfast Club", where she played drums and guitar. Not long after she went to become the band "Emmy", where she could be the lead singer. Madonna soon changed her mind that rock wasn't her thing and she wanted to go solo as "Madonna" and be an Actress. In 1982 Madonna tryed out for the show "Fame", but was turned down. She recorded a club hit single "Everybody", and then released her first album "Madonna". Madonna didn't become the big icon she is today until her next album "Like a Virgin", which she did her world tour. Madonna had many teen"wanna-be's" copying her style. Many thought Madonna as controversal and a bad influence. In 1985 Madonna met Sean Pean and married him on her 27th Birthday. The marriage only lasted for years and Madonna went on with her life changing her looks, being controversal, and trying to figure out who she wants to be. Then in 1996 Madonna's life came to a turning point after she met Carlos Leon and found out she was having their child. Octomber 14, 1996 Lourdes Maria Ciccone-Leon was born. After her birth Madonna's life totally changed and she became a more mature woman, loving mother-hood. The relationship didn't last but they remained friends and very close in Lourde's life. In year 2000 Madonna met Guy Ritchie and had his baby, Rocco John Ritchie. And they got married at the end of the year. Now Madonna is living a comfortable, busy life and is still as big as she was almost twenty years ago and she is showing no signs of slowing down. |
