Chaplins Comedy Club Profile Dustin Diamond is one of the most recognizable faces in show business today. He attended Zion Lutheran School in Anaheim, California. At the age of 8 he was discovered in a department store imitating a mannequin. While in the fifth grade, he auditioned for and was selected over 5000 hopefuls for the role of Samuel "Screech" Powers in the NBC television series "Good Morning Miss Bliss". His character was carried over to the "Saved By The Bell" movies and television series, which ran for 10 seasons. "Saved By The Bell" is still seen in syndication 16 timed per week in 105 countries. Dustin also appeared frequently on the television series, 'The Wonder Years". He also appeared in a cameo in the 98 Degrees video "I Do". One career highlight was being acknowledged at NBC's 75th Anniversary Celebration. Presently, Dustin is keeping busy making guest appearances on television, movies and selling out colleges and comedy clubs around the country as a stand up comic. He is also the bass player in the band SALTY THE POCKETKNIFE, which just finished recording their debut album for Crash Music. The self-titled album was released in early 2003. Dustin is an avid chess player, with his own "Dustin Diamond Teaches Chess" instructional video. Dustin recently made guest appearances on the Jenny Jones Show (3 times), Weakest Link, Off Center, Celebrity Boxing 2, The Rerun Show, Star Dates and I Love the 80's. Dustin in no stranger to the big screen either. He has appeared in 17 feature films, including Big Top Pee Wee, Longshots, Big Fat Liar, Jane White Is Sick And Twisted, and Made (which won him a nomination for Best Cameo at the 2002 MTV Movie Awards).
