Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez – Saved by the Bell!
You fans of Saved by the Bell are familiar with the acting talents of Mario Lopez – he`s the handsome stud who plays “A.C. Slater,” the cool, streetwise, yet intelligent heartthrob. Through he`s tough on the outside, Slater`s got a definite soft side to him. Mario`s every bit as cheerful and bubbly as he is handsome – his friendliness and incredible energy very nearly bowled us over! Mario also has a lot in common with the character he plays on Saved by the Bell. Says Mario, “In the beginning, [the writers] had us to make up a list of all our talents, and they pretty much put em` into the character. So far, Slaters danced on the show a lot, he`s played on the drums, he wrestled – and I do all those things! What`s neat about Slater is he`s real mysterious, you`re always seeing new sides of him.”

Well, Mario`s just as multi-dimensional as Slater. A show-biz veteran at age 16, this teen wonder began dancing at age 5. And became a actor at age 10. He`s had roles on shows like A.K.A Pablo and Kids, Inc., in addition to numerous stage and feature film appearances. Not only can Mario dance up a storm (he does jazz and tap), he`s also an all- around athlete with numerous championship wrestling titles to his credit – plus, he`s even hoping to compete in the 1992 olympics! It seems the dude excels at everything he tries – he even manages to hold down straight A average at school, where his fav subject is history. We know we`ll be watching Saved by the Bell – Won`t you?

Saved by the Bell`s other main heartthrob is Zack Morris, played by 15-year-old Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Whereas his rival ‘throb, Slater, is dark, with brown hair and eyes, Mark is a blond-haired , hazel-eyed hunk. He`s the ultimate California boy – which is where he was born and raised. Awesome! Mark`s a veteran TV actor, with an impressive resume that lists appearances on such hit shows as Highway to Heaven, The Twilight Zone, Charles in Charge, and Punky Brewster – not to mention numerous film roles and commercials. Like his co-star, Mario Lopez, Mark has an extensive training in dance, and is an ace hoofer! Mark describes his Saved by the Bell character as: “Sort of like Ferris Bueller, but much nicer. He`s a ‘second principal’ to the school, because in a way, he runs the school. He`s a con man – but not in a mean way – and he likes to do things in his own ‘Zack’ way.” Mark`s main hobbies include all kinds of sports – baseball, basketball, bike riding, motocross racing, football, gymnastics, handball, horseback riding, swimming, roller skating, and tennis. Wow – whatta jock! Stay tuned for competition between Zack and Slater – they`re both vying for the hand of pretty Kelly Kapowski (played by Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), who can`t seem to make up her mind between the two guys.
