 "My Family & Me" 6-day book: Each day we will add a page to our family book. Day1: "Me"-they will draw a picture of themselves and draw their favorite food (dictate it to teacher). Day2: "Mom"-they will draw a picture of mom and tell something mom does at home (dictate to teacher). Day3: "Dad"-they will draw a picture of dad and tell something he does at home (dictate to teacher). Day4: "Brothers/Sisters"-they will draw a picture of their brothers and/or sisters..if they donot have any..which one they wish they had (dictate to teacher). Day5: "Grandparents"-they will draw a picture of their grandparents and tell what they do at home (dictate to teacher). Day6: Students will get in front of the class and share their stories. "My Home"-students will draw a picture of their home and teacher will label parts as the child tells about their home. Students will then dictate about the 2 sentences on their paper: My home is (big/small). My home is (color). Content Standard: SS 8

"Where I Live"-student will dictate to a teacher the directions to get to their home. This can be pretty entertaining at this age. I will post answers after we do this lesson. Content Standard: SS 9

"Things We Do Together"-have cut out magazine photos and clipart. Children choose from the photos of things they do at home with their families..and paste them on their paper. Content Standard: SS 1

"About Me, I'm Different" CLASS BOOK-Each child will design a page for our class book. Sentences we will have are: I have (color) eyes. I have (color) hair. Students will draw a portrait of themselves after looking in a mirror. Content Standard: SS 4
