First and foremost, you need to have the BELIEF that MD Financial Group is the organization that will make you realize your dreams in life! This is easier said than done. Ask yourself in all honesty, 'Am I 100% sure that this company will ensure that I can buy my dream home, retire my parents, send my siblings and kids to whatever school they want to go to, help my church in their ministries to the needy, buy me my dream car(s), avail me travel experiences to Disneyland or the Golden Gate Bridge or the Great Walls of China or Vienna or Paris or London? Dream on! If the answer to this question is 'YES,' ask yourself again the same exact question with all the dreaming but this time examine your 'YES' answer Is it a 50% or 75% or a 90% or even a 99.9% 'YES?' If your 'YES' is a 99.9% 'YES,' sad to say at this point you are not ready to become successful. If you have even the slightest amount of doubt, then it will set you up for failure. I guess the best comparison I can think of now can be likened to a malaria-infested mosquito introducing barely just a fraction of a drop of blood into a grown and healthy man. The result of this 'doubt' much like the malaria-infected blood is ever-growing decay and death. WOW!!! Sounds too complicated or 'deep' to even think about, huh? But it is the truth. If you still have doubts and when you encounter friends and relatives who will reject your invitations to BPM's or don't take you seriously because you're a woman talking about how to build a business or ridicule you because you are such a 'dreamer' and so on and so forth (believe me, you will have a lot of these rejections), what do you think will happen to the little bit of doubt or blemish in your belief? It will grow, magnify, and get even bigger and larger until . poof! Before you know it, the super excited person who answered loudly and solidly with a great 'YES' will silently fade away and most probably start looking for other options or opportunities or businesses that may luckily be the one that will bring forth reality to her dreams (probably selling soap or beauty products with a sales quota and a yearly membership fee). Two things came up in my last sentence---luck and options. There are no such thing as luck in this business. All the success you will have is through hard work and commitment and by the grace of God. As far as options are concerned, and as long as you think that there are some other options out there that will get you to your dreams (like winning the sweepstakes, or becoming the manager of the office you work at, or whatever), there can be no real BELIEF! The bottom line is that your BELIEF must be 100%---nothing more and nothing less! To have this kind of belief---one must have NO OTHER OPTIONS but this one company. This kind of BELIEF, I believe is the most important ingredient in order to be successful in this business.
The Second Ingredient to success in this business is DESIRE. Do you want to become successful no matter what? What if it means spending less time watching T.V. or partying? Sure, that is easy. What if it means traveling back and forth to Manila and sleeping like only three hours in three days? Hmm...probably once or twice if it is not raining. What if it means spending less time with my family especially kids (do you have kids?) so I can attend workshops and training? I don't know about that, my loved ones are important to me. Do you get my drift? Your DESIRE is only as strong as how badly you want to achieve your dreams. Right now, I strongly believe your DESIRE to win is very strong. But please do not misinterpret my intentions. I am not asking you to drop everything--like quit your job, or stop becoming a good spouse or trustworthy friend or parent, etc. In our team--Mighty DOVE--we will always believe in the order of our priorities ---God first, family second then MD Financial Group third.
The Third Ingredient--DISCIPLINE!!!!!!!! If I fill this page with exclamation points to emphasize that word, it will not be enough. I can go on and on and on about DISCIPLINE. Impress us and those around you by getting to the office on time even if you have to cut-short your breakfast for a Saturday morning BPM. Whoosh!!! Keep doing it and be an example to everybody! Discipline is something we all have to work on constantly!!! With discipline comes INTEGRITY and COACHABILITY. This is the daily grind, whine, and twirl of our business. Without DISCIPLINE, the belief and desire is worthless! And my best advise for you right now when it comes to building strong DISCIPLINE is to DUPLICATE what Anne is doing because she is very disciplined. Always remember too that as you build a team, your own recruits will look up to you as their leader. They will have the kind of discipline you have. If you want them to miss training sessions and BPM's then you are excused to miss meetings as well. If you want them to show up early and ready, then you show up much earlier and even more ready for the appointments and workshops. As Marvin Garcia always say (he is our fantastic Marketing Director) '..unggoy see ..unggoy do!'
Finally, as I was reading what I have just wrote down, it occurred to me that the three ingredients to winning in this business is much like our belief and commitment to GOD. My belief in GOD is infallible. If I doubt at all that there are other strange gods or that there is no god, oh boy am I in trouble because I am going to hell when I die and even worse I may die anytime. This leads me to my desire to go to heaven because I absolutely believe there is one. Yes, off course, I want to go to heaven. The discipline to follow God's will. Surely I need to work on that daily with all these temptations around. And for me to be disciplined, I need to follow my religious leader, Jesus Christ, and his teachings and works. The Holy Bible is the ultimate BFS manual. Just like in business, I need to work on being coachable. Anyway, I hope this letter helps. I just thought of writing this letter to you like 7AM in the morning because I cannot sleep anymore after an electrifying conference call with the rising Contenders. By the way, work on being a CONTENDER yourself. That is my challenge to you. If you do that, I know that this long letter will not have fallen on deaf ears but rather fallen on a fertile and open mind that will surely blossom forth to an abundance of good things.
