***It's a really long, frantic, and surreal look into a 24 hour series of interchangable events, with a fine ensamble cast. Bad dads Jimmy Gator (Hall) and Earl Partridge (Robards)are both dying and both estranged from their children, Jimmys coke addicted daughter Claudia and Earl's motivational speaker son Frank (Cruise). Earls trophy wife Linda (Moore) is having a breakdown but he is being cared for by kind hearted nurse (Hoffman). And there is a popular game show (of which Jimmy is the host)and it's current and past quiz kids, and a rain of frogs,a musical number, and well just see it for yourself.
