Collaborative writing

We're trying to get a little collaborative nudist science fiction writing-project going for the club members:

"I have written a short story that I would like to use as a template for a shared world. What I mean by this is that people would be invited to write a short story that uses the same characters, the same locations, the same technologies, the same history as the story I have written here. What you write will then be incorporated into the shared 'history' of this imaginary universe. For example: I write in this story that social, intergenter nudity is common. Anyone who follows cannot write that social intergender nudity on the ship is rare. If the next person to write a story for this shared world states that the Moon has been colonized, I cannot write a story stating that it is not, unless I want to set my story at an earlier date than the story previously written. OK? Also, I am open to changes at this early stage of the project. If you want to say that telepathy is common, or that warp drive is available, I would consider it (but you'll have to convince me of some things!) Once the rules are set, though, they won't change."

Here is the first story: Drag the light, by Jim Owens.

Do you have a story for the project? Or suggestions of how the world should be? E-mail them here: thenudistwriter@yahoo.com.
We'll post the story here with full credits.
