Reviewed by Kevin Rosey: The Big Book Of Nicknames is a great book, Robert Flackton outdoing himself yet again. His earlier books- How To Count Rain Drops, Selling Children For $$$, Stealing Is A Sin, But What The Hey?, Ogre Trapping: Be The First On Your Street To Know How, Thirty Ways To Slurp Soup, and Cheating The Stock Market For $$$- were simply marvelous, but his newest took the cake. I give it a 6 out of 8 (or the equivalent fraction of 2 out of 10). He tells the origins of every nickname whether it be his name-calling brother, Native American Folktales, potty words, or violence. I urge any name-calling bully, or friendly bud to read this book. Some nicknames included in this book are: Slobery, Mecha Robo King, Stupid, and many more. The University Of Northwestern Kansas uses this book for an insult class. Nicknames are the new green. YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK!!!!! |
