Southern Air Transport
One of the “cover” companies owned by the CIA. Eventually they were cut loose from the CIA and went under contract with the Pentagon.

Wanda Palacio, a member of the Medellin drug cartel until 1986 became an FBI informant. She told Senator John Kerry that she had personally witnessed cocaine being loaded onto planes marked “Southern Air Transport.”

In 1983 she stood with Jorge Ochoa (major drug kingpin) as a SAT plane was loaded with drugs and Jorge told Wanda that the planes brought in guns and left with cocaine.

President Reagan insisted the government wasn’t sending arms, nor importing narcotics. However, on October 5, 1986, a Sandinista soldier shot down one of Oliver North’s gunrunning planes in Nicaragua. A cargo handler was the only survivors and dead were co-pilot Wallace “Buzz” Sawyer and two other people.

When Wanda Palacio saw a picture of Buzz Sawyer flashed on the news, she was shocked to recognize him as one of the pilots she’d seen loading cocaine into a SAT plane a year earlier. In documents recovered from the aircraft, Sawyer’s flight logs revealed he’d flow a Southern Air Transport plane from Miami to Barranquilla on three occasions, October 2, 4 and 6, 1985.

On November 25, 16986 the Iran/Contra scandal broke wide open when it was discovered that Oliver North’s profits from Iranian arms was being diverted to the Contras.
A NOTE FROM ME!

I hope to soon get some more things on this site.  This is only a portion of the things that our government is into and has been into for years.  Hope you've learned something so far.
