Welcome to the KB2COP Long Island Weather Page
Weather is a relatively new hobby of mine.  It can be combined with Amateur radio in a couple of ways, primarily in SkyWarn and APRS. In addition, I send information from my weather station to a central data collection site where it is used to help forecast weather in my region.
The following information is relative to the equipment and software I use, along with links to the weather data as collected at my home.
LIVE Shoreham, NY weather
Click here for Long Island NEXRAD.  This radar is produced at the National Weather Service bureau located at Brookhaven National Lab in Calverton, L.I., New York.
Another file included in the upload data is a tide schedule.  This is particularly important on Long Island given our commercial fishing businesses.  Click here for Northport  Bay

WeatherLink history graphs include monthly and annual highs/lows (nice clean look).
WeatherLink (Davis) software current readings (graph format).
DETAILED Shoreham forecast
This is the company that manufactured my Vantage Pro2.  It is installed at a height of 33'.  All of the weather data shown on this page is collected from  this station
The "live" data (updated every 3 seconds) is collected and analysed by this software.  To view this you need to have Adobe Flash installed on your PC.
These are readings via WxSolution software by ThunderSoft.  Very clean and comprehensive layout.
