I'LL BUY IT FOR YOU......
"I'll buy it for you if you let me."
"Oh no Mom, don't spend your money."
"But it would look so nice on you."
"Really Mom, I wish you wouldn't."
"I insist." Mom said as she brought out her wallet.
Daughter drove Mom home and then went home to her house.
"What's this?" Husband asked.
"Something Mom insisted on buying and I will never wear."
"Show me?"
She pulled it out of the bag and held it up. He started to laugh. She started to get angry. She put the package in what she referred to as her two year drawer. If she didn't use it in that time, she gave it to charity.
Two years later, she pulled it out and put it in a box for the church rummage sale. Mom was there. Daughter was afraid Mom would see it and become angry. But she needn't have worried. Mom had a short memory.
Later that night, Mom came over to see her with a surprise.
"Look what I found for you at the rummage sale." She pulled out the ugly shirt that Daughter had donated to the sale.
Daughter was stunned. Husband laughed. Daughter became angry at him. Two years later the shirt was back at the rummage sale.
