Newlyweds wanted families to meet,
So a nice sit-down dinner was planned.
She couldn’t cook, but the thought was sweet,
Even if all the veggies were canned.
Her parents came early with dessert,
His arrived later empty-handed.
His sister came in a mini-skirt -
Her brother’s interest expanded.
For awhile everything went well,
It seemed to be a successful sup,
But soon the evening went to hell –
Somebody left the toilet seat up.
His mother failed to pay attention,
Squatting low in the porcelain throne.
Now, bathing wasn’t her intention.
Drenched, she remarked how the time had flown.
The party broke up in a hurry,
As each man vowed that it wasn’t he.
Her mother told her not to worry,
For it went off with a splash, said she.
