13.01: "The Demise of Montgomery Burns"
The Simpsons return from a family vacation only to discover that Mr. Burns has passed on, as the ice could no longer preserve him, and Bart can't help feel as if it is his fault. The others attempt to convince him that he had nothing to do with it, but because of the events before the summer vacation, he is not quite sure about what they have to say.
13.02: "And the Sinner is..."
Bart discovers that one of his old friends, Ed, is now a priest. Bart reveals that he never really imagined Ed as the "religious" type, and this makes Ed angry. He becomes determined to prove to Bart that he is perfect for his career, and to start this off, he attempts to put a fear of Hell in him for sinning. This is a lot tougher than he ever suspected.
13.03: "Thanksgiving Flashbacks"
Marge refuses to cook Thanksgiving dinner this year, and so the Simpsons decide to gather up and reminse about their past Thanksgivings. Clips from "Thanksgiving Story", "Late Thanksgiving", "The Extra Chair", "So Long and Thanks for All the Turkey", "Thanksgiving Inquisition", "A Thanksgiving in England" and "I've Got the Hour" ensue.
13.04: "Undercover Mother"
Homer's mother, Mona, who is now very old, returns to Springfield to visit Homer after she discovers what has been going on with him in the past. She unexpectantly passes on during visiting hours and Homer is too weak to attend her funeral. He becomes determined to anyway, where as the others attempt to convince him not to.
13.05: "The Shameful Return of Milhouse"
Milhouse returns to Springfield, only to reveal that he has been fired from his job for a poor catering service. Bart, Lisa and Maggie attempt to make it up to him in any way they can, but they realise just how upset he really is. Bart convinces him to open up his own restaurant, which he does, but there's just one problem -- there are no customers.
13.06: "Homer for Christmas"
Homer manages to blow all of the Christmas money, and Bart steps into help as he knows for a fact that his father is too weak nowadays. Bart becomes a department store Santa Claus, which is more humiliating than he ever suspected. He receives a phone call explaining that Homer has had a heart scare, and he begins to worry.
13.07: "Blame Charlie"
Charlie announces that he is moving back to Shrubsville as he has finally managed to patch things up with Amanda. But when he discovers that she wants him to own up for everything that went wrong in their marriage, he must choose between love and total humiliation. Bart steps into help so that Charlie will just get off his back.
13.08: "If in Doubt, Give Bart a Shout"
Bart becomes the new "advice guy" of Springfield after people discover how he managed to help Milhouse get back on his feet. He soon begins to get fed up with the newly found popularity, and so he attempts to start giving bad advice to get people off his back. But when he realises just who he's given bad advice to, he's in big trouble.
13.09: "Sister Attract"
Whilst visiting Milhouse at his restaurant, Bart discovers that a customer has fallen in love with Lisa. Milhouse finds out about this and throws the customer out. Unfortunately, this customer happens to be important and he starts spreading the message around Springfield that Milhouse's restaurant is a terrible place to dine. Bart decides to help out.
13.10: "The Way of the Valentine"
Charlie gets a date for Valentine's day, but soon reveals that he really has had no luck with the girls after his unfortunate divorce with Amanda. Bart attempts to help out his old friend by teaching him "the way of the valentine" in time for the 14th, so his date will be a complete success. But Bart soon realises that this is making him unlucky himself.
13.11: "Ed vs. Linda and Alison"
Ed, whilst on a date, discovers that Linda and Alison are also dining at the same restaurant. He begins to suspect that they are now life partners and he becomes scared after coming to terms about his crush on Alison all through his college years. He decides to get Bart to help him out, but they soon realise how difficult this situation really is.
13.12: "Bart Simpson is... Dr. Tad Winslow"
Bart manages to get a big break when his agent gets him a job on the hit soap opera "It Never Ends". Whilst on the set, he begins to think that the Dr. Tad Winslow is upstaging him, and so he attempts to catch the producers' attention. He gets more than he ever imagined when he is offered the job as the new Dr. Tad Winslow, but realises that he has stage fright.
13.13: "Bringing Down the Mouse"
The Simpsons' household begins to get a mouse problem, and Lisa is determined not to use violent ways to get it to leave. Bart steps into help, in exchange for something, but he soon realises that getting the mouse out is a lot tougher than he ever imagined, especially when he discovers that Maggie has become attached to it!
13.14: "Cider-man"
Bart realises that he needs a job for when he's not needed on the soap opera "It Never Ends", and he manages to get himself a job buying and selling cider. He soon realises that it is a very important job and his entire acting career depends on it. When he discovers that he is being forced to be involved in a cider hist, he is in trouble.
13.15: "The Will of Mona Simpson"
Homer receives a call explaining that he needs to do something about Mona's will. He invites Bart, Lisa, Maggie and Marge to go with him. Bart is shocked to discover that he has inherited around $50,000. Marge suggests that he contributes the money to something that is needed in the community, but he goes wild and spends it, and is soon feeling guilty.
13.16: "Mr. Homer Goes to Washington"
Homer is asked to go to Washington to give a speech on his experiences in the past related to death, and Bart is not too sure about his father's safety and advises him not to go. Homer doesn't seem to listen, so Bart gets the idea of sabotaging the speech he is planning to read. But, of course, he is soon ridden with guilt.
13.17: "The Smell of Money" (1)
Marge and Homer are having financial problems and they reveal to Bart and Lisa that they will need to find somewhere else to stay. Lisa has no problem getting a room on campus at Springfield University, but she has problems making friends. Bart finds it hard to find somewhere else and attempts to make the money problems come to an end.
13.18: "The Smell of Money" (2)
Lisa eventually meets a group of friends and enjoys her life living on campus, but Bart seems to be failing in his plans to make the money problems come to an end. He is forced to find somewhere else to stay, and he realises that it is time he moved on in his life and makes plans to move to New York to pursue an acting career there.
13.19: "Apartment Story"
Bart starts looking for apartments in New York, with the help of Marge and Homer. Marge and Homer feel guilty about all this, where as Bart becomes determined to prove to them that this is what he wants to do. Meanwhile, Lisa has trouble with her new roommate and attempts to find a new place on campus with her friends.
13.20: "It Never Ends: The Movie"
The producers of "It Never Ends" reveal that a movie based on the popular soap opera will be made, and Bart as the main role. Bart realises that he won't have time to record anything as he is too busy preparing for his new life in New York. This whole experience just makes him even more nervous of the entire "new life" thing.
13.21: "Going over the Mop"
Lisa accidentally trashes her place on the Springfield University campus, and as a punishment, she is forced to clean up everybody's place. She is incredibly angry about this and feels as if she is in high school once again, so she decides to take action along with the other students. Meanwhile, the filming of "It Never Ends: The Movie" begins.
13.22: "To Quit or Not to Quit?"
Bart realises that the filming of "It Never Ends: The Movie" is slowing down his process to moving to New York, so he decides to quit. Auditions for the new Dr. Tad Winslow takes place, and he is shocked to discover that Charlie has gotten it. He can't help feeling jealous, and so he attempts to find out what made the producers like Charlie so very much.
13.23: "Sleepless in Springfield"
Julie dumps Bart, explaining that he hardly ever spends time with her anymore. He becomes upset and starts to have sleepless nights, and he is diagnosed with insomnia. He tries all he can to get over Julie, but he finds this incredibly difficult and starts to take sleeping pills, and he soon finds himself becoming addicted to them!
13.24: "To New York... and Beyond"
Bart packs up his things and moves into a New York apartment block, where he takes an instant disliking to his new roommate, Eddie. He is a self-centred, moody person. But soon, Bart finds the love of his life across the hallway, called Jane. But after a lot more thinking, he fears that he may have fallen in love with someone very like Lisa.
