17.01: "Life in Question"
Now with the money to buy the house in Springfield, Bart and Ralph have packed their bags and they are on their way. But Bart soon begins to feel guilty when his friends are angry at him for abandoning them, and so, once again, he begins to question his lifestyle and considers finding Emma and starting things up with her once again.
17.02: "Every Dog Has it's Stay"
A dog turns up at Bart and Ralph's new home, and it appears to not want to leave. Whenever somebody tries to move it out of the place, he gets vicious, and so the pair are stuck with it. They attempt to find the owner, but Bart is still questioning his life and he begins to wonder whether he should contact Emma and ask how things are going.
17.03: "Dial 'E' for Emma"
Bart discovers Emma's phonenumber, but he is not sure whether to phone her or not. He eventually plucks up the courage to, but when a man answers the phone, he fears that she has found a new love already and he loses all hope. Depressed, he turns to Jane, and they end up sleeping together! Bart is not sure whether to start things up with Jane again.
17.04: "The College Clip Show"
After bumping into someone who goes to Shrubsville College, Bart explains that he has started to miss his years at college, and flashbacks of his favorite moments there ensue, in another "The Older Bart Simpson" clip show. Ralph suggests that he gets a job there, and Bart must choose between his acting career and this new oppurtinity.
17.05: "Guess Who's Coming Back to College?"
Bart decides that he can take his acting career further if he gets a part-time job back at Shrubsville College, and so he becomes determined to ask the dean. After discovering that the dean who he ended up getting respect from has left, and a mean, stressy guy has taken his place, he realises that it is going to take a lot of work to get on his good side.
17.06: "The Trials and Tribultations of the Lottery"
Currently staying in an exclusive dorm room at Shrubsville College, Bart and Ralph settle down to watch the TV, and they discover that they have won the lottery! Many trials and tribulations ensue, making Bart and Ralph discover how much the lottery can get in the way of their real lives. But, in the end, it turns out that they had just both fallen asleep on the couch.
17.07: "Bob Terwilliger, We Hardly Knew Ye"
After discovering that Bob Terwilliger has unexpectantly passed away, Bart and Ralph plan to make their way to Springfield to pay their final respects at the funeral. But, after discovering that he has to write a speech about Bob, Bart is afraid that it will be too offensive because of his past experiences with him, and he is stuck on what to do.
17.08: "Job vs. Job vs. Job"
Bart realises just how much music has changed nowadays, so he decides to dig out his old guitair and start practising again. That night he goes to bed and a dream ensues in which he is caught up in all his possible careers -- working at the college, an actor, or a member of a rock band. He puts his whole life in perspective and Ralph attempts to help him out.
17.09: "Oh, the Irony"
During working hours, Emma unexpectantly turns up, explaining that she has had second thoughts and she wants to start things up with Bart again. It is then he notices the irony when he discovers that Jane and Julie have also arrived. He becomes determined to find out all of their reasons for considering another relationship, but it is difficult.
17.10: "It's a Blunderful Life"
Bart notices that his life is going nowhere after comitting many mistakes in one day, and so he becomes determined to make a fresh, clean start in his personality. Now back with Emma, she is forced to live with him in the exclusive dorm room, and he begins to find her constant complaining about the living conditions rather annoying.
17.11: "Julie's Leaving"
Julie, who is still hanging around the college, announces to Bart, Ralph, Emma and Jane that she is leaving. Jane attempts to convince her not to go just because Bart loves someone else, but after much talking, they both realise that Emma is not right for Bart, and so they team up to break up the two, but they soon begin to fight over who gets Bart in the end.
17.12: "Would the Real Milhouse Van Houten Please Stand Up?"
An old man turns up at the dorm room explaining that he is Bart's oldest friend, Milhouse, just re-incarnated. Bart is afraid after discovering that this guy knows everything Milhouse knows, and this just makes him even more worried about the real Milhouse. Emma, however, is beginning to think that this is all some joke and becomes determined to find out the truth.
17.13: "The Homer Simpson Movie"
After a famous producer hear's about Bart's experiences with Homer in the past, he decides that he would like Bart to star in a movie based on the whole thing. Bart sees this as a great oppurtinity for his acting carrer, but he soon realises that he should find out how the producer ever found out about him in the first place, but it is difficult.
17.14: "Smithers' Saga"
It is the anniversary of Burns' death once again and Bart discovers that Waylon Smithers has just been getting worse over the months. He decides to pay him a visit, but is shocked to discover that Waylon is putting all the blame for the death on himself. Bart becomes determined to prove that it wasn't his fault, but he ends up making the situation even worse.
17.15: "Everybody Loves Emma"
Bart discovers that a load of men have fallen in love with Emma themselves, and she has started to date a guy. Bart breaks up with her, and a couple of weeks later, he begins to feel uncomfortable accepting dates as he realises that he is still married to Emma. Determined to get back to normal, he demands a divorce, but she is not too happy.
17.16: "The Homer Simpson Story, Part III"
After discovering that cancer has been a common thing in the Simpsons family, Bart realises that it is about time he wrote his will. This just makes him an emotional wreck, and flashbacks of his past experiences with Homer ensue. Jane attempts to comfort him, and the two find themselves becoming closer and closer in the process.
17.17: "Pain in the Class"
Bart, still working at Shrubsville College, volunteers to teach an acting class. After discovering just how difficult his students are to teach, he gets angry and attempts to get his revenge by suggesting that they audition terribly. But, soon, he is ridden with guilt and he attempts to make it up to them, but it is a lot tougher than he suspected.
17.18: "Biography of a Troubled Wiggum"
Ralph gets inspiration to write his own biography, and Bart ends up seeing some confused thoughts coming from it, and he begins to suspect that Ralph may be depressed. Bart attempts to make a few changes to the biography, but he ends up getting caught by Ralph and is soon ridden with guilt. Bart attempts to make it up to Ralph.
17.19: "All Aboard the Jane Train"
Jane invites Bart to a romantic trip on a train, but he reveals that he is being forced to work at the college, preparing for a large student party. He soon realises that his relationship with Jane may be ruined, and so he tells the dean to "get stuffed", and he ends up getting fired. Jane feels guilty and so she tries to get Bart's job back.
17.20: "Re-Union Story"
Bart and Ralph decide to have a Shrubsville College re-union in their exclusive dorm room. When the day finally arrives, Ralph feels unaccepted as he never attended the college himself, and so, being the fool he is, he attempts to become a student at the college. Bart tries to stop him from making a fool of himself, but it is difficult.
17.21: "Dorm to Dorm"
After a troubled acting class, Bart begins to realise just how unludky the students of Shrubsville College are, stuck with their crappy dorm rooms. He remembers his old dorm room at the college, and so, along with the students, he attempts to appeal to the dean, but they soon realise just how grouchy he has become over the past few weeks.
17.22: "It Eventually Ends"
Bart discovers that ever since his absence from the Springfield version of "It Never Ends", the ratings have dramatically plummeted. He begins to feel extremely guilty and he decides to appeal to the executives of the network, but he soon realises that it will take a lot more than just sucking-up to get them to change their minds.
17.23: "Your Face Here"
During a carnival, Bart decides to have his picture taken, and he soon realises that it was just for an embarassing joke, and now the pictures have been posted all over Shrubsville and Springfield. Angry, he attempts to find out who is behind it all and he believes that it could be none other than Bob Terwilliger, and he never really passed away!
17.24: "Trouble in Shrubsville College"
Bart is asked by Marge to babysit James for the night as she is going on her first date ever since Homer passed away, and James accidentally gets out of his hands and ends up roaming Shrubsville College, wreaking all sorts of havoc. Unfortunately, Bart can't focus as he can't accept the fact that Marge is going on dates once again.
