18.01: "James' Pre-School Daze"
It is the first day of pre-school for James, and he is looking forward to it. Now able to speak in full sentances and communicate with others around him, he is extremely excited. Marge asks Bart to accompany him for the first day to watch out for him, and Bart realises just how difficult he really is around other kids and he must learn to control him.
18.02: "Quittin'"
Bart decides to quit working at Shrubsville College as it is getting him nowhere, and he begins to believe that he should return to New York to take his career in acting further. But, he soon realises that his friends back in the apartment may no longer want him, and so he must choose whether to attempt to get on their good side or not.
18.03: "The Secret Ralph"
In the landmark 400th episode, Bart has packed his things up and is ready to go back to New York. That is, until he realises that Ralph wants to remain in Springfield. Bart is ridden with guilt, and so he attempts to make it up to Ralph, and soon, he begins to suspect that he may be hiding a very strange secret from him related to the Wiggums.
18.04: "Now Leaving Springfield"
Back in New York City, Bart realises that he never explained to Jane that he is moving away. He must choose between being re-united with his friends once again, or quickly returning to Shrubsville to explain to her what is going on before she breaks up with him, and he realises that either choice will get him in a huge heap of trouble.
18.05: "The New Bob Terwilliger"
Bart discovers that Bob Terwilliger faked his own death to escape a tax problem, and now he he has a new identiy and everything. Bart, feeling angry at Bob after all the trouble of the speech he wrote (17.07 "Bob Terwilliger, We Hardly Knew Ye"), becomes determined to prove to everyone in New York city that this supposed "new guy" in the apartment block is really Bob.
18.06: "Search for the Zero"
Realising that Bart will need a large acting chance to get his career on foot, he decides to speak with the producers of the New York "It Never Ends" to see if he can get his job back, but he soon realises that they are not quite happy about the fact that he has constantly abandoned the work. Bart loses all of his self-confidence.
18.07: "Love, Clip Show Style"
Jane explains to Bart that she believes things aren't working out, and he believes that he will never find love again after so many relationships, marriages, etc. have failed. Clips of Bart's previous relationships ensue, in yet another "The Older Bart Simpson" clip show. Imbetween clips, Jane begins to have second thoughts and must decide on what to do.
18.08: "I'm Out the Money"
Bart's first pay cheque from "It Never Ends" comes in, and he goes wild with the money. He soon realises that he is now in debt and he must find the best way of raising the money, and has a shock when Eddie, Milhouse and Rebecca decide to forgive him for the past and now they want to help him out. But he soon realises that they are just feeling sorry.
18.09: "A Tale of Two Apartments"
Fed up with the current living conditions of a tiny apartment, Bart attempts to move back in with Eddie, but he soon discovers that there is a new guy currently living there. Bart believes that this guy is up to something, but Eddie just sees this as an attempt to get the guy out of the place. Bart, along with Milhouse and Rebecca, attempt to show the truth.
18.10: "Sex Before Marriage"
Bart starts going out with another girl, called Elizabeth, and he realises that she is ready for sex and he is not as he has just come out of a serious relationship. He comes up with the excuse that he doesn't believe in "sex before marriage", but he has a shock when she agrees to marry him. He must choose between keeping the relationship and getting married or not.
18.11: "James' Saga"
In a special episode in James' point of view, he explains how his day at pre-school was. He fell in love with a young girl named Tiffany, but discovered that she already had a boyfriend. He tried all he could to win her affection, but it was difficult, and he ended up completely embarassing himself in front of everyone and attempted to win back their respect.
18.12: "One Fine Pay"
Bart discovers that he has won the role of someone in two different movies. One is a sequel to a highly sucessful movie, but the pay isn't too good, and the other is a porno, which pays a lot of money. Bart must choose between the two oppurtinities and after words of wisdom from someone, he starts to film the sequel and his acting career properly unfolds.
18.13: "Just Getting Finished"
Bart discovers that the filming of the movie sequel is getting in the way of his part on "It Never Ends", and the producers are considering firing him. He turns down the movie and returns to the soap opera, but after discovering that he will be filming the series finale very soon, he attempts to get his part back on the movie, but it is extremely difficult.
18.14: "Let There Be Kite!"
The annual apartment block kite contest is coming up soon, and Bart teams up with Eddie and Milhouse to build the best kite imaginable. However, Jane and Rebecca are also planning to do this and a large war ensues. Bart and Jane feel uncomfortable with the whole bickering thing and the two attempt to put and end to it all before it gets out of hand.
18.15: "Bart's Awful Movie"
The filming of the movie sequel has finished, and the day of the premiere has arrived. Eddie, Milhouse and the girls are angry when they discover that they have not been invited, and Bart attempts to get them tickets, but he finds it difficult. They eventually see the movie and they can't seem to tell Bart that it was awful, and they feel guilty around him.
18.16: "The One Where Bart Stars in a Sitcom"
The movie sequel has now been seen all over North America, and being the only good actor in it, Bart receives many phone calls from producers asking to be on something or another. Bart decides to agree on appearing on a very "Friends" style sitcom, called "Mates". Eddie and Milhouse attempt to show him that it he is going too far with everything.
18.17: "Emma's Pregnant"
Emma returns to the apartment block, and reveals to Bart that she is pregnant with his baby. Bart explains that he still has feelings for her, and now that she is carrying his child, he believes that they should re-marry. The only problem is that Emma doesn't want to go through with the hassle of the ceremony, and so Bart attempts to find the best way of getting round it.
18.18: "The Honeymoon Story"
Bart and Emma have had a quick marriage and now they are on their way to their honeymoon. When they discover just how much of a dump their resort is, they attempt to complain to the manager, who turns out to be a completely grouchy nightmare. Angry, the two attempt to ruin the place's business and find a place to stay elsewhere.
18.19: "House of Names"
After returning from their honeymoon, Bart realises that Emma has begun to think about possible names for the child. The two can't agree on any names for a girl or a boy, and so they decide to take a trip to get inspiration for names. Fed up with the two bickering, Eddie and Milhouse team up to find two names themselves so that they can get some peace.
18.20: "Emma Has a Baby" (1)
Nine months later, Emma is in hospital, waiting to give birth to the baby. Bart finds himself becoming an emotional wreck after realising that Homer will not be able to witness the birth of the new child, and so Marge, along with Maggie, Milhouse and Eddie, attempt to cheer him up, especially when he says he can't face seeing Emma give birth.
18.21: "Emma Has a Baby" (2)
Bart eventually sees the birth of his new baby boy, who the two decide to call Homer. Everyone has a shock when Jane turns up explaining that she is still in love. There are more shocks when Marge announces that she is getting married to her boyfriend, Jack. Bart can't accept either of the news and so Eddie and Milhouse attempt to help him out.
18.22: "Marge Gets Married"
Marge's wedding has arrived, and Bart still can't accept the fact that his mother is re-marrying. Emma suggests that he attempts to bond with Jack, but he soon realises just how uncomfortable he is around him. Meanwhile, the new baby boy Homer becomes friends with James, who is currently staying with Marge in New York, but they soon become enemies!
18.23: "Bonding with Homer"
Lisa reveals her dreams of getting a job in the government, and so she decides to move to Washington to extend her career. Jack moves in with Marge back at the Simpsons household, and Maggie begins to have problems with their constant affection for eachother. And Bart attempts to bond with baby boy Homer, but finds it extremely difficult.
18.24: "The Final Choices"
Bart decides to take a break from his career to spend time with baby boy Homer, Maggie has become good friends with Jack, and Lisa is settling down well in Washington. A special film called "What Happened After" ensues, showing what direction the rest of the recurring characters from "The Older Bart Simpson" took in their lives, thus ending the series!
