"The Old West", is a non-profit youth organization dedicated to our mission of providing educational, vocational and recreational opportunities, with the scholorship awards and financial assistance required to further the education of those youths who have demonstrated the talents and persistence to pursue a career in the "Arts" and related fields.
"The Old West" members will learn:
(a) American history, during the 1850 to 1900 period.
(b) Theatrical production through staff and "guest" speakers.
(c) Career opportunities in the "Arts" fields.
(d) Members will qualify for scholarship awards. (see link below for more)
Professional or amatuer historians, western authors, or enthusiasts, from all over the United States and the world, are invited to become a part of our organization by sharing your knowledge of stories and tales of "The Old West".
We invite you to become a "pen pal" to our young people, guiding them through the research of actual historical events, and sharing interesting stories.
Your contribution will help our members learn more about their heritage, and the way of life those before us endured to create what we now call "the west".
We ask your patience and understanding, as we develop our web site. Rather than wait longer to develop an eye-popping site, which will stimulate and entertain you, we thought it important to introduce our group now, and the mission we plan to accomplish. Please drop in often to sign our guest book, add your comments, or share a story of "The Old West" with us.
