Developing Leadership

          The world is greatly in need of leaders. Comparatively few outstanding leaders are developed in a generation; but there are thousands of places to be filled by those who have qualities of leadership in some degree. It is commonly said that there is plenty of room at the top. Who knows? There are very few who reach the top to send back word. But there is plenty of room between the bottom and top, and even tho we may never become what is considered outstanding, top-notch leaders, we should at least aspire to be all that we can be.
          The aspiration to be a leader should never be based on the mere desire to lead others, but rather on a desire to be all that we can be by way of service. This desire, acted upon, will inspire us to strive for bigger and better and more efficient service, and will sooner or later lead to position that will call for qualitites of leadership. Happy are we if we have qualified.
          To be successful leaders we also have to be good followers; for there are degrees of leadership. In one position and with one crowd we may be outstanding leaders, while in another department of
