Alonzo is the 'guardian of the Junkyard' or a protector of sorts. He is the one to fight Macavity in most productions, even though Munkustrap does it in the video. He is also Demeter's mate in some productions, and in others is the one to bring Victoria to queendom. On Broadway he is the Great Rumpus Cat, and he has brown and yellow markings, instead of the London black-and-white markings. He seems to be a mixture of Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger, personality-wise; he is very strong and protectorish, but still flirts a lot. CUTENESS SPOTTING!- in the Jellicle Ball sequence, at the beginning near, he's standing in the very back dancing with Jemima. It's so adorable!!
