Demeter is a gold and black queen who always hangs out near Bombalurina or Munkustrap. She is very skittish, and is the first to sense Macavity when he's around, leading to the theory that perhaps they had a relationship that went sour, or the Napoleon of Crime kidnapped her as a kit. She is a very shy and quiet cat, unless Macavity is near (when she proceeds to scream and hide). Macavity tries to carry her off after she sings his song, but Munkustrap (or Alonzo) protects her, depending on the production. She sings quite a few songs, including 'Grizabella: The Glamour Cat', 'The Old Gumbie Cat', and 'Macavity'.
