Old Deuteronomy

Old Deuteronomy is the leader of the Jellicle Tribe. He is older than most Jellicles, except probably Gus. He is respected by even the kittens, and held very high in the minds of all the Jellicles. Macavity attempts to kidnap him during the Ball, but he is rescued by Mistoffelees. Old Deuteronomy picks the cat that goes to the Heaviside Layer each year. His son is probably Munkustrap, who will take over when Old Deut goes to the Heaviside Layer.
