We will be working on new material soon. What alot of people don't realize is that we've been on tour for the past year and have had zero time in a rehearsal space to write new songs.
Was there a reason behind having two vocalists?
No reason. It was just something the band wanted to try and see if it worked well.
How did Roadrunner Records get their eyes on 3 INCHES OF BLOOD?
They saw we were a serious band and liked the fact that we tour a lot.
Any tour plans for 2006?
No plans confirmed yet, but I'm sure we'll be touring a bunch.
What's your view on the rumor that 3 INCHES OF BLOOD is a "parody band"?
We got that stigma early in the bands existence and we're not phased by it anymore because we know we are not a joke. Joke bands don't get signed to record contracts.
Who are some of your personal favorite bands?
IRON MAIDEN, DIO, TYGERS OF PAIN-TANG, JUDAS PRIEST, BLIND GUARDIAN, THIN LIZZY, UFO, AC/DC.
What's your view on downloading music on the internet?
It's good for unknown/unsigned bands to get noticed. It helped us get our name and music out to people who didnt live in our city. Record companies complain because their profits are declining, but they are still turning a profit. People still buy CDs, it's just that the music buisness is in a transition period with the formats music appears on.
