What do you get if Deicide and Carcass had hard and long sex? Well the offspring would be Ominous! Hailing from New Jersey, this death metal band has all the effects of the Florida death metal sound and even some grindcore mixed in there as well, but don't think that makes this band the same as all the others out there...this three-piece has differences mixed in that makes them stand out amongst the others out there. They don't hide the fact that they are very much into the guts and gore side of death metal. Long summary short, what you have here is a great new band, with a great debut album! A must for death and grind fans everywhere!! I give this CD 4/5
