| First Travis, I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Thanks my man, no problem. First question, is CATTLE DECAPITATION working on any material for a new album? Yes, we've got 8 songs done so far. It's awesome so far. Very different from our last couple. A really good fuse of TSM/Humanure with elements that our first couple possessed. Very frantic. There's alot of black metal influence as well. When do you expect the album to be released? Hopefully the begining of summer 2006? Any tour plans for the rest of 2005/begining of 2006? Just one offs while we write the next album. We'll be doing some shows with BRUJERIA early next year, but that's it for now. No tours set up. Once we turn in the new album, we have to start training our new second guitarist a set for the next tour cycle. It's going to be badass. Is the entire band vegitarian or just a few of you guys? No, the whole band. Including our new second guitarist! What is the sickest thing you've done while on tour? WHO is the sickest thing we've done should be the question...haha..just kidding. I took a shit in a pizza box and left it under a couch in the dressing room once because the bathrooms were inhospitable. I took a dump in a box and put it in between DEVIL INSIDE's trailer and van in San Antonio, TX. Who writes most the lyrics / music? The rest of the guys write the music and I write all the lyrics. Troy writes alot of the riffs and Josh comes up with crazy shit to put over everything. Of all the bands you've toured with, who was the coolest to hang out with? Shit, that's a hard question. SUFFOCATION, probably. Or GOATWHORE. DEVIL INSIDE are amazing dudes. Probably them actually. Do you see death metal getting better or going downhill? Eh..it's always going to be as big as it is and was in the early 90s. These new metalcore bands are helping bring attention to DM, but that's it. I don't think that stuff is metal at all. Ok Travis, last question, what's your view on downloading music on the internet? I just hope it doesn't eventually replace albums and CDs.I've tried it and it seems like a monmental pain in the ass to get especially since it doesn't come with the art and layout, which is my personal passion when it comes to releases. I agree 100% with you there!! Well Travis thank you for your time and good luck in the future!! Thanks! And stay gore! |
